I finally got to touch Harley today. He has been really interested in our hands when we put them in the water. So today I got to play with him and when you put your hands in, he targets his rostrum on your hand and then tries to nibble on your fingers. It's very cute. Speaking of biting dolphins, Chinook tried to bite me today when we were playing. That's the first time he's nipped at me, so I was pretty surprised. One of his teeth got my thumb, but it didn't break the skin.
I was supposed to start part-time at the zoo starting on Saturday, but the supervisor was able to keep me on as full-time until the end of October. I've very excited about that.
So, here's a fun story. Ryan and I went to the Twin's game on Monday. We were noticing that our car was getting really hard to put into gear. (it's a stick shift). Any time we would be stopped at a light, the car would almost stall when it was in first gear. Well, we made it fine on the free way, then pulled onto the highway that takes us to our house. Of course we had a red light. The car wouldn't go into any gear, so Ryan had to get out and push it down the street where I steered it into the Target parking lot. This car has a lot of miles on it and a lot wrong with it, so since this happened, we decided we aren't spending any more money on fixing it. So, we'll spend our money on a NEW CAR instead. We've actually been looking before the car broke down, so it came at a good time. We got a good deal on a Hyundai Tucson, which is a smaller SUV. I'm super excited about it. We get to go and pick it up tomorrow. I'll be styling.

Joy, this one's for you. A co-worker at the zoo has a friend that is friends with Sara Groves. Anyway, they were at the zoo the other day together, but they had the kids with them so they didn't stop to say hi to Heather. But, one day when they do, Heather knows she has to come and get me so I can meet Sara. Ryan and I are actually going to her cd release party on Oct. 2 here in MN. Yipee!
I am sick with a cold now. It's no fun. Everything from the chest up hurts, is plugged, etc.

O.K. Update time...
1. Ryan and I are all moved into our new apartment. We were able to save up money the past few months so we got a bedroom set (bed, 2 dressers, 2 night stands) and a couch. I feel like a grown up. Soon I will be sending out a mass e-mail with our new address. We are really enjoying living there even though there are many things that need to be put away still. It's hard when we are both working so much.
2. Last weekend I was able to get 2 days off of work and head home to Hancock. A friend from highschool, Becky, got married. It was so nice to see people I haven't seen for a long time. And of course we had to stop by and visit the different parents also. I also got to see my brother and sister-in-law and their little doggie, Gracie. Such a cutie. I wanted to steal her, but I didn't think Josh and Amy would like that.
3. I'm still working full time at the zoo. Still temporary, so we'll see. But I'm still loving every minute. It's so interesting watching Harley (the new baby's name) learn new things, like how to slap his tail on the surface, and blow bubbles, and that when he breaches, bubbles form underwater for him to play with. He's darn cute and I love watching him learn more stuff about his environment.
4. There is probably more, so I may have to add more later. Peace.
